"I found my dreams and prayers for Kenton come true at Empowerment Services - Marie and her Team Members. I had resolved myself to the fact that I would never find that person who would know the inside of Kenton and how smart he is, and be able to know what level to work with him for any progress. Someone who would respect the kindness he feels towards others and the empathy he has for people. In every program he has attended, no one has ever figured out the finesse it takes to bring Kenton to an understandable, trainable, workable level to be able to produce results.
Marie, TJ, and the other team members at ES had that figured out in the very beginning. Kenton, I believe, knew the mind games he had learned to play that had worked at every other program were over.
Marie came into Kenton's life when he was on the bottom run of the ladder mentally and physically. She came to us after Kenton had spent eight days in the hospital for a very serious illness which took about two months to come out of. She not only took him when he was sick, but in a mental state that was unbelievable - a case that any professional person I have known would have said 'come back when you are better, because I can't help him now in the condition he is in'.
The progress made in 18 months is unbelievable to everyone who has known Kenton, and I know this is just the beginning.
